Fruit & Nut (2009)

Plot: Fruit and Nut is a madcap comedy with a central character named Jolly Maker, who is a simple, hard working middle class struggling bachelor in search of love, money, friends and success. Jolly Maker works as a clerk/accountant in office of a greedy and corrupt builder named Khandar. He is typically nerdy and un-stylish. He is also accident-prone and leaves a trail of disaster behind him. One fine day in broad daylight, Jolly Maker’s beautiful, sexy, smart and snobbish colleague, Monica, gets mysteriously kidnapped. Through a roller coaster ride and series of comical mishaps, Jolly Maker finds himself in the middle of plot that has been hatched by an insane Ex- Maharaja to destroy Mumbai!! Whether the poor, adorable, accident- prone Jolly Maker finally falls in love or not, gets his girl or not and above all is able to save Mumbai or not, makes for rest of the film.

Fast Forward (2009)

Plot: Produced under the banner Anjum Rizvi Film Company and Y.T Entertainment Ltd., Fast Forward is the movie about people passionate about dance and for who dance is much beyond an art. The movie is directed by Zaigham Ali Syed and the music has been rendered by the Akbar Sami.

The story depicts the life of the common man and his dreams. It’s based on the struggle and the efforts of the person to go up to any extent to achieve his goal. A film about the person’s fight against the society, the false believes and the barriers to live his dreams.The story revolves around two best buddies- Rishi and Sunny. Rishi and Sunny are incredible dancers and they express everything through their dance. Sunny falls in love with Rishi’s sister Jeel and he takes Jeel to a complete new and a different world through his love.

The story has them all from romance, drama and some great dance numbers. A refreshing project with young feel to it. However the minus point of the movie could be a bunch of inexperienced actors and a new director.On the whole, the music of this film has been disappointing and there is no curiosity amidst the cine-goers to watch this film.

Firaaq (2008) DVDRip

Plot: The story is set over a 24-hour period, one month after a campaign that took place in Gujarat, India, in 2002. It traces the emotional journey of ordinary people- some who were victims, some perpetrators and some who choose to watch silently. As an ensemble film, it fo9llows multiple narratives that are at some times interconnected and at times discreet, yet all are united by their spatial and emotional context.

A middle class housewife closes the door on a woman desperately seeking refuge, and then struggles to overcome her guilt. The loyalty of two best friends is challenged in times rife with fear and suspicion. A group of victimized young men seek revenge as a way out of their helplessness and anger. A modern day Hindu-Muslim couple struggle between the survival instinct to hide their true identities and the desire to assert them. A boy having lost most of his family in the riots wanders through the streets searching for his missing father. A saintly musician clings on to his idealism until an evidence of civil strife shakes his faith.
